After growing up in Virginia and completing medical school at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Va., Dr. Williams completed her general surgery residency at the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine and Research Institute in Roanoke, Va. There she served as the General Surgery Administrative Chief. She completed her training at the Barbara Brodsky Comprehensive Breast Center in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. She is also certified by the American Board of Surgery.
As a member of the Society of Surgical Oncology, American Society of Breast Surgeons and American College of Surgeons,Williams has completed research regarding the role of lymph node biopsies in breast cancer patients undergoing mastectomies and suffering from lymphedema following surgery.
Dr. Williams and her husband enjoy spending time with their children and traveling. They are excited to call Lincoln, Ne home.
Dr. Williams also mentors at-risk youths, participates in community gardening and goes on international medical missions.
