Screening Mammograms
More women trust AMI’s Women Center to perform their mammograms than any other clinic in Nebraska. The all-female staff and private, spa-like setting make these appointments as comfortable as possible. The American College of Radiology (ACR) recommends an annual screening mammogram beginning at age 40, for women with an average risk of breast cancer. Women with an increased risk for breast cancer may need to start mammography sooner or include other imaging in their screening plan. Screening mammogram appointments do not require a physician’s referral and can be requested by calling 402-484-6677
Cardiac Calcium Scores
Heart attacks are the leading cause of death of men and women in the United States. Plaque build-up can lead to heart disease or even a heart attack without warning. Cardiac calcium scoring is a test performed using a CT scanner to test the level of calcified plaque lining the coronary arteries. This score can be a helpful tool in determining someone’s risk level for heart disease or heart attack. Typical candidates for this test are people age 40-75 who have a moderate risk for heart disease. Factors that can increase the risk of heart disease include smoking, diabetes, obesity, poor diet, high blood pressure and high cholesterol. This potentially life-saving test is quick, pain-free and affordable.
Lung Cancer Screening
Lung cancer is the most deadly cancer in the US, killing more than breast, colon and prostate cancers, combined. A lack a screening is in direct correlation with these numbers. AMI offers a simple, painless test that can detect early onset of lung cancer, when it is the most treatable.
High-risk lung cancer patients are encouraged to receive this elective procedure annually.
If insurance does not cover the cost of the screening, Advanced Medical Imaging offers the test for only $250.00 payable at the time of service. If you are interested, talk to your primary care provider about scheduling a scan at AMI.

IR Consults
Interventional Radiology is an effective, less invasive alternative to surgery, that results in a shorter recovery time with fewer side effects.
At the time of consultation, you will meet with an Advanced Practice Provider, extensively trained in Interventional Radiology Procedures. We will review your symptoms, health history, and potentially order further diagnostic imaging studies to verify a course of action for treatment.
