Before a Diagnosis Ever Happens

High-risk breast care

Our care extends beyond patients who have already been diagnosed. Through our High-Risk Clinic, led by Sam Hough, APRN, we specialize in caring for individuals at elevated risk of developing breast cancer. Sam meets with high-risk patients to provide education, guidance, and personalized care plans that support long-term health and prevention.

Our team partners with you and your healthcare provider to assess your individual risk, develop personalized screening recommendations, coordinate advanced imaging such as breast MRI when appropriate, and detect breast cancer as early as possible.

You may benefit from high-risk care if you have:
A family history of breast or ovarian cancer
A known genetic mutation such as BRCA
Dense breast tissue
A personal history of high-risk breast lesions
Other elevated risk factors identified by your provider
You Are Never Navigating Alone

A dedicated guide through every step

Our Advanced Breast Care Coordination Program offers a community-centered approach designed to guide you through every step of your breast health journey. Whether you're coming to us for additional imaging, a new diagnosis, or ongoing follow-up care, our dedicated team helps navigate the complexities of the healthcare system by coordinating appointments, removing barriers to care, and ensuring timely diagnosis, treatment, and support.

Kirsten Anderson, RN, serves as your consistent point of contact and advocate. She helps you understand your diagnosis and treatment options, coordinates appointments and resources, and makes sure you have what you need at every step, so you can move forward with confidence.

Care that doesn't end with surgery

At the Advanced Breast Center, caring for our patients means caring for the whole person, not just performing a successful surgery. Unlike other breast surgery practices in Lincoln, we continue to follow our surgery patients for three years after their procedure, providing ongoing surveillance, education, support, and coordination of care.

This long-term relationship allows us to monitor your recovery, address concerns as they arise, and remain a trusted partner throughout survivorship. Because to us, you're more than a diagnosis. You're family.
